Professional Statement
Dr. Caponigro earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at St. John’s University. He received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Caponigro completed a two-year residency in Podiatric medicine and surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, an academic affiliate of Weil Medical College of Cornell University. He completed training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in New Jersey. Past experience includes clinical instructor and member of the teaching staff at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, foot and ankle consultant at the Murray Hill Medical Group at NYU Medical Center in New York City. Currently, he is the foot and ankle consultant for the Newark International Airport Medical Offices and maintains three office locations. He is a member in good standing of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Caponigro is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr. Caponigro is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.
