Dr. Weinfeld is a board certified, fellowship trained Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 25 years of experience treating both simple as well as complex problems of the foot and ankle. Dr. Weinfeld specializes in surgical procedures of the foot and ankle including bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, fusions of the foot and ankle, ankle replacements, flatfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, achilles tendon injuries, diabetic foot reconstruction, and fractures of the foot and ankle.

Prior to joining Summit Health, Dr. Weinfeld was the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York. He served as Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai, as well as the Fellowship Director of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Weinfeld has given lectures and published extensively in the field of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Weinfeld is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Weinfeld says, ” I treat my patients as I would want my family members to be treated when they go to the doctor, including providing state of the art surgical care in a compassionate manner.”

When not with his patients, Dr. Weinfeld enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, golfing, biking, and listening to music.
